Saturday’s snake course was a great success!
I’m pleased to say that there was a very good turn out for Saturday’s kids snake course in the Palmiet Nature Reserve, with about 40-50 people being present (mostly kids of course, but also some very helpful parents!).
After looking at some photos and videos that I had to show, we went outside to look at some of KZN’s live and local snake species, venomous and non-venomous. …
Then to cap the day off, we went for a short walk through the reserve, which was a real adventure for the kids, especially boulder-hopping across the river! We didn’t see any snakes, but we did see a beautiful array of butterflies.
A big thank you to all the parents who brought their well-behaved children along, and to those who stayed to help!
Also, thanks to the parents (Paul & Debra) for the pics below 🙂
A special thanks to the Palmiet Nature Reserve for hosting the event.
